Ethics and Professionalism go hand-in-hand. Massage Mastery Institute believes that professional ethical situations are best address in a group discussion with experienced mentorship. We will be offering one in-person ethics course each month.

Overview:
This course will enable LMTs to obtain the essential skills required to address and balance the professional power differential that can exits in the client-therapist relationship. Through sample case-studies and shared real-life experiences, learners will develop the competencies needed to effectively manage transference and countertransference. We'll delve deeper into the realm of professional practice by enhancing understanding of the intricate dynamics at play within the power imbalance that often characterizes the therapeutic alliance. By acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills, one can navigate the delicate transfer of thoughts and emotions between client and therapist with precision and empathy. The heightened awareness will enable LMTs to engage in a reciprocal exchange of insights, fostering a more profound connection and promoting better healing for the client. Course focus will also include exploring the multifaceted aspects of dual relationships. We will uncover the challenges they present as well as the potential benefits they can offer in the therapeutic journey. Embrace the opportunity to examine and understand these nuances. Equipping yourself with the tools to effectively navigate the complexities that arise in in the client-therapist relationship ultimately enhances the quality of care you provide to your clients.
