In this course, LMTs
will explore the key considerations regarding the disclosure of personal information
from both the massage therapist and the client.
Learners will be able to:
- Become familiar with the terms of disclosure and third party disclosure.
- Understand the importance of the client’s disclosure of their health history
- Become familiar with HIPAA regulations

LMTs are responsible for understanding
the key considerations for establishing a massage therapy practice that is both
ethical and within the boundaries of state/local laws, rules and regulations.

This course covers the importance of
establishing, defining, and maintaining boundaries for both the client and the
practitioner.
Learners will be able to:
- Understand the importance of boundaries for both client and therapist
- Become familiar with the intentional and unintentional ways boundaries are sometimes crossed
- Learn how to define and maintain boundaries
- Learn how to identify green, yellow, and red flags when it comes to boundaries

Creating and Maintaining Healthy Client-Therapist Relationships (2 CEs)
This course allows LMTs to obtain the
skills necessary to level the professional power differential, to handle cases
of transference and countertransference, and to explore the pros and cons of
dual relationships.
