Why Matthew Teaches Differently

For more than 30 years, Matthew has worked at the intersection of massage therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, and sports medicine. As both a Physical Therapist Assistant and Licensed Massage Therapist, he helps therapists move beyond memorized routines and develop confident clinical decision-making skills.
His courses emphasize practical reasoning over predetermined protocols. Through demonstration, movement assessment, discussion, and hands-on application, students learn to evaluate each client, recognize meaningful patterns, and adapt treatment with purpose and confidence.
Whether working with athletes, orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, or everyday movement dysfunction, Matthew teaches a framework that applies across practice settings. Students leave with more than new techniques—they develop a deeper understanding of how to assess, reason, and make better clinical decisions.
