Welcome

At Massage Mastery Institute (MMI), our mission is to provide high-quality continuing education that supports professional growth, clinical excellence, and lifelong learning. We strive to create a learning environment that is engaging, respectful, inclusive, and supportive for every participant.

This handbook outlines the expectations, policies, and procedures that apply to all students participating in MMI educational programs.

Registration


Registration is complete when:

     - All required registration information has been submitted.
     - Any applicable prerequisites have been verified.
     - Payment has been received or approved arrangements have   
       been made.

     - You have received confirmation from MMI.


Enrollment is limited and courses are enrolled on a first-paid, first-served basis.


Payment


Course tuition is due at the time of registration unless alternative arrangements have been approved.


Accepted payment methods may vary depending on the registration platform.


Students are responsible for ensuring payment information is accurate and current.


Certificates of completion may be withheld until all financial obligations have been satisfied.



Cancellation & Refunds

We understand that life happens and schedules sometimes change.


If You Need to Cancel


30 or more days before the course
     - Full refund minus any processing fees.


14–29 days before the course
     - 50% refund or full course credit toward a future MMI class.

Less than 14 days before the course
     - Refunds are generally not available.

Credits may be considered for documented emergencies.


If MMI Cancels A Course


If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, instructor illness, weather, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, you may choose:
     - 
A full refund, or
     - 
Transfer into another MMI course.


Please note that MMI is not responsible for travel expenses, lodging expenses, or lost wages associated with course attendance.

Transfers & Course Credits

If you cannot attend a scheduled course, please contact us as soon as possible.  

When space permits, we will do our best to transfer your registration into another course.

Course credits:
     - Are non-transferable.
     -  Have no cash value.
     -  Must generally be used within 12 months.
Attendance

Continuing education credit requires full participation.

Students are expected to:
     - Arrive on time.
     - Return promptly from breaks.
     - Attend the entire course.


Late arrivals, extended absences, or early departures may affect eligibility for continuing education credit and certificate issuance.

Participation Expectations

MMI courses are designed to be interactive and engaging.

Students are expected to:
     - Participate respectfully.
     - Engage in discussions and activities.
     - Follow instructor directions.
     - Support a positive learning environment.
     - Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.

We believe everyone contributes to the learning experience.
Professional Conduct


As healthcare professionals and students of healthcare, we are expected to maintain professional behavior at all times.


Students must:
     - Treat others with respect.
     - Honor personal boundaries and consent.
     - Communicate professionally.
     - Maintain appropriate hygiene and appearance.
     - Follow safety guidelines.


The following behaviors may result in immediate removal from a course:
     - 
Harassment or discrimination
     - 
Threatening behavior
     - 
Physical aggression
     - 
Intoxication or impairment
     - 
Repeated disruption of the learning environment

No refund will be issued for removal due to misconduct.
Accessibility & Accommodations


MMI is committed to creating an accessible learning environment whenever reasonably possible.


Students requiring accommodations are encouraged to contact us as early as possible before the course date.


Accommodation requests will be handled respectfully and confidentially.

Complaints & Concerns

We value feedback and encourage students to speak with us if concerns arise. Whenever possible, we encourage informal resolution first.

If a concern cannot be resolved informally, students may submit a written complaint that includes:
     - Name
     - Contact information
     - Course attended
     - Description of the concern
     - Desired resolution

MMI will review concerns fairly and respond appropriately.


Retaliation against any student who raises a concern in good faith is strictly prohibited.

Hands-On Training Expectations

Many MMI courses involve demonstration and hands-on practice.

Students are expected to:
     - Obtain consent before practicing techniques.
     - Respect personal boundaries.
     - Communicate openly regarding comfort and pressure.
     - Practice techniques only as instructed.


Any student may decline participation in an exercise that makes them uncomfortable.

Photography & Media


From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken during MMI educational events for educational or promotional purposes.


Students who do not wish to appear in photographs or videos should notify MMI before the course begins.

Certificates of Completion

Certificates are issued to students who:
     - Meet attendance requirements.
     - Complete required course activities.
     - Satisfy all financial obligations.


Students are responsible for maintaining their own continuing education records.
